We design and manufacture street furniture made from glass reinforced concrete(GRC) and timber.
Concrete and Wood
The first known examples of concrete being used was in Syria 6500 BCE and through the preceding millennia concrete has been continuously developed and improved. From the use of volcanic ash during the Roman Empire right through to the development of Portland Cement on the 19th century.
We use a 20th century version of the material, Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC). This material, which is also being continuously developed, helps to reduce the weight and carbon footprint of the concrete we use.
We like to work with concrete and wood as our ideal combination. The concrete is hard and unmovable like stone, and the wood is organic and natural. Together they bring ancient and modern qualities to the city centre.
